Houston is the best city for working professionals.

Houston is much more than just oil & gas. While the Energy industry plays a large role in our city, there’s more to the Space City that make it an ideal location for working professionals including the culture, relatively low cost of living and thriving business landscape.

Aside from New York City, Houston is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the country, if not the world. From Asian and Latin American to other influences, these unique cultures infuse their traditions into the food, nightlife and other aspects of our booming metro area. With a global environment, there are vast choices for dining and entertainment as well as festivals and other cultural events, including great outdoor venues that host concerts, plays, movies and dances to please most anyone.

While our summers will get hot, you’ll rarely experience snow or temperatures below freezing in Houston. Our winters are mild and allow us to enjoy the immense green spaces of our city year-round. From parks to jogging trails and more, Houston offers active individuals infinite options to get moving, and we are able to enjoy doing so all year long. If you like boating, we’re also close to Galveston Bay, and the extensive bayou system and trails make for great kayaking, biking and hiking all within view of downtown.

Booming Business Scene

Aside from Oil & Gas, Houston has many other robust and growing industries. With the top medical center in the world and one of the largest ports in North America, the medical, manufacturing, importing and exporting sectors all play vital roles in our economy. Houston is also fortunate to have a very friendly business climate, offering low taxes and other incentives to companies, making it easy for large corporations to have their headquarters in the area.
