My best advice is to not pick a standard format for your resume. Create something visually appealing that will stand out. Also, if you industry warrants it, such as a creative line of work, use unique paper or consider a trifold resume rather than two pages. Think outside the box to make your resume stand out among others in a pile of candidates.
